We also want to thank the following corporations, individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to this worthy endeavor:

Trout Unlimited Canada
Crowsnest Angler
Tom Wiseman

Edmonton Chapter, Trout Unlimited Canada

Thanks to all of you, StreamWatch Conservation Officer, Jeff Cox, will be on-stream in the Upper Oldman and Livingstone area this season working to preserve and enhance our coldwater fisheries.

Update: February 5, 2008

1) The exec. committee has determined that we should begin work to set up a Streamwatch program to be in place by 2009 with one student Conservation Officer.
2) Preliminary work is going on to determine the specifics of the program and contacts have been made with the Central Alberta Chapter which now has two student COs in place.
3) We will be striking a committee to manage the process and to secure funding for the project. We need to raise appoximately $25k for one student. Anyone interested in helping could contact me, Committee Chair Al Caldwell.
4) We will likely look at the upper Oldman/Livingstone for our first placement but this will be done in conjunction with the area F&W COs.
5)  Barry Mitchell of the Cenetral Alberta Chapter and possibly Tom Wiseman, who were both key in starting the Streamwatch program, have offered to meet with our committee in March/April.
6)  More at the February meeting.
